Blue Heeler

Blue and red colorations both occur within the Australian Cattle Dog. Blue coats come from merle/ticking patterns historically selected alongside working ability.

Identical to the ACD generally: heel work, stamina, and strong cattle focus. Individual dogs vary more by bloodline and training than by blue vs red color.

Expect the same high drive and loyalty profile as other ACDs. Color does not predict “gentler” or “harder” temperament.
